Reminders

As this week unfolds we get ready to end classes, we hope to see you back in school in September as you move up to first grade. We will have a virtual kindergarten graduation ceremony. The virtual graduation will be held on Thursday June 18, 2020 at 1:30 pm please be on time. However if you have an outstanding tuition balance your child may be excluded from the virtual ceremony and I will not be able to discuss the end of year progress for your child during parent teacher conferences that will be held Friday June 19 from 10am to 12:15pm and then Monday June 22 from 2:00pm to 4:15pm.

I would like the students if possible to create a graduation cap, there will be a link posted below, I would like to keep it as true to the normal graduation ceremony where the girls wear red caps and the boys wear blue caps. Children should be dressed in proper attire please no pajamas on this day, we want to try and make this as special and memorable given the situation.

This week I will assign things for the kids to practice on this week in the google classroom in the different subject areas.

I have shared a sign up parent sheet on the google drive to sign up for available time slots for parent teacher conferences, please take a look and write your child's name next to the available time slot to talk via zoom or a phone call if you prefer.

Reminders
Our school building is closed due to COVID-19 and will be for the rest of the school year, it is imperative that you stay informed via the school blog and IRIS alerts.  Students should be completing their work daily via the google classroom as this will comprise much of their grade. Please remember to check the blog daily for homework and announcements, and the google classroom for assignment information and to turn in a completed assignment. As a reminder if assignments are not completed in a timely fashion the student will get a grade of zero, many students did not complete the required work on Pearson Realize, parents also need to remember to look at the section on google classroom labeled lesson plan/classwork daily to check what needs to be done for your child to receive credit for their work. 
Friday June 12, will be half day and classes will end at 12:00 noon.
