Reminders
Every Friday children will be taking books home to practice on their reading fluency it is imperative that they are reading by the end of kindergarten otherwise they will not move forward to the next grade. Wednesday January 30th Early Dismissal for Parent-Teacher conferences that will be held from 2:00pm-7:00pm sharp, each meeting can not run over ten minutes therefore I will keep a timer and a notebook handy in case we need to schedule a meeting. A sight word worksheet was sent home last friday anything highlighted in pink means children did not know the words, if nothing was highlighted then children know all of the sight words. Books given on Friday should be returned on the next school day. Monday February 4,2013 School will be closed.

Early Dismissal Friday January 18, 2012 at 12:00 noon after school program is available.
Progress reports were sent home this Friday it is imperative that you look over it. Report Cards will be given on Wednesday January 30th instead of the previous date assigned.
This Friday January 18,2012 students will be taking books home to practice reading these books should be returned on Tuesday January 22,2012, along with a phonetic sheet to review letter sounds and blending words.
Monday January 21, 2012 school closed Martin Luther King Jr, Holiday.

Friday December 21,2012 Lessons and Carols in the church at 9:00am parents, family, guardians are welcomed to join us, children will be allowed to wear dress clothes NO JEANS OR SNEAKERS.  I will be collecting $4.00 for a pizza party with drinks and cupcakes on Friday Dec.21. Reading Test on units 6(S) and 7(L) on Thursday December 20,2012. Math Test on solid figure shapes, and plane figures on Tuesday December 18,2012. Please have a wonderful holiday and please be sure to practice with your children during the break on reading, sight words, and letter sound correspondence. Thank you for your support. Classes resume on Thursday January 3,2013.

Reminders
Friday December 7, 2012 School Closed. Math quiz on Wednesday covering solid figures and shapes.Phonics Quiz on Tuesday on initial sounds for l,d,c.
Please bring in an old magazine or flyers with pictures of toys, food etc. or bring in a food flyer from a supermarket as this will help us for our social studies unit on needs and wants by Wednesday December 5th.
Students will be getting books in a ziplock to begin reading on their own on Thursday, please make sure books are returned on Monday December 10.
