Reminders
Monday April 30, Early Dismissal at 12:00 noon, after school program available if needed. Math test on addition and subtraction on Wednesday May 2, please study with your child. Pearson realize testing on Friday on Unit 5 module b. Next week I will be giving a sight word assessment. Please see me about any issues regarding children in the class, as it has been brought to my attention. Absolutely no parent is to question a child other than their own child about anything regarding behavior etc. If you are a concerned parent please see me to discuss this matter further.

Reminders
Tuesday April 24, students spring gala at 10:00 am, please make sure students wear dress clothing, parents please join us if you can. Report cards will be distributed Thursday April 26, and parent/ teacher conferences will be held Friday from 3pm to 8pm sharp. Students will be dismissed early on Friday at 12:00 noon for the parent/ teacher conferences, after school program available if needed.

Reminders
Sight Word assessment this week Wednesday. No new sight words will be given this week as it is a short week. I will be collecting $3.00 for a pizza party on Friday for our Easter celebration. I also ask you to please bring sturdy plastic bags by Wednesday as we will be packing up for the spring break recess. Homework will be assigned and it is imperative that students practice over the spring break. Thursday school will be closed for a Teacher training. Friday Passion play in the church at 8:30 am parents are welcomed to join us. Easter break will start from March 24 thru April 8, school resumes April 9. A reminder to parents that drop off and pick up times are not appropriate times to discuss classroom concerns, or concerns with your child, if you feel you need to speak to me please make an appointment with Alba in the office.

Early Dismissal on Monday March 12, at 12:00 noon, after school program available. Technology is part of the learning continuum that we use in the classroom, therefore it is imperative that you help your child develop these skills by logging into all of the resources I have provided. Friday progress reports will be sent home but please be advised grades will not reflect progress reports as our report card is based on common core standards. Friday March 16 green day students may wear green to honor St.Patrick.

Please be advised children will get student and decodaable books to practice reading fluency over the weekend, it is their responsibility to read and bring the books bag the following week no later than Wednesday if the books are lost for any reason a fee will be imposed. It is imperative that students practice reading fluently before they enter the first grade otherwise they may be retained.

Please log into pearson realize and finish assignments. MAP skills is a new site students will need to log into at home, to reinforce reading and math skills this is provided by MAP Test. I am aware that many students do not  log into any of the websites I have provided parents with. Its unfortunate because students fall behind and are not able to practice on necessary skills. It is imperative that students do practice these skills at home whenever possible.
