Religion

Reading/ELA
Beginning sounds for /c/, /o/, and /g/
Identify characters in a story
Identify sequence in a story (first, next and last)

Recognize  the difference between fantasy vs. reality
Identify parts of a book
To recognize and count syllables in words

Mathematics
Recognize numbers 0-10

Lesson Plans week of 10/26-10/31

Reminders
Individual picture day Thursday October 30,2014 picture envelopes should be in prior to this date. I will be collecting $5.00 for the Halloween Party Friday October 31,2014, there will be a halloween parade for the students in Kindergarten beginning at 8:30 am in the school building, students are invited to participate with costume and candy bag in hand to collect candy , parents are welcomed to join us for the parade but must leave immediately finishing the parade. The book fair is this week, children wishing to purchase books must bring at least $5.00 to buy at least one book. Math Test Tuesday on Chapter children should be able to recognize numbers 1-9 and number word for the numbers as well.

Reminders
Interim Assessments this week in ELA and Mathematics. Friday dress down with $1.00 donation. In case some parents may have forgotten Gym is on Tuesday's children should be in full gym uniform with sneakers. Please check homework folders daily as this helps you the parents be informed of any letters or information being sent home. A mistake in last weeks homework pages were mixed up. Please see homework below. There will be a Halloween party on Friday October 31,2014 we will be collecting $5.00 for Mcdonalds, desert and juice, Thank You for your cooperation.

Lesson Plans 10/6 thru 10/10

Reminders
Friday Early Dismissal 12:00 noon after-school program available if needed. Children are to collect some leaves and bring them to class by thursday the latest. Progress reports were sent home friday please review carefully any questions or concerns please make an appointment with Alba in the office. Math Test Wednesday on Chapter 2 Numbers through five, greater than, less than and recognize the word for the numbers. Sight word make up assessment Tuesday. Hispanic Heritage if you are able to contribute please send with your child a little background of the country you or your ancestors are from with an item to display by Thursday because it will need to be ready by Friday so we can put it all together in the lunchroom. 
Hispanic heritage can include information about the country, the food, clothing, music, culture etc. we will collect and put together as a class project.
