Reminders
Festival of lessons and carols will be Wednesday December 18, at 8:30 am in the church, students should wear any Christmas clothing with either red, green, or white parents are welcomed to join us for this special event. Raffle for a giant stocking filled with toys will be raffled off this week, each entry is $1.00, child must present at time of raffle if their name is called during reveal. The 8th grade will have a bake sale on Thursday December 19 if you wish to do so please send your child with at least $1.00 for the bake sale. Early dismissal Friday December 20th at 12:00 noon, students way wear regular clothes. Please make sure to send large plastic shopping bags so the children can pack up their classroom belongings to be stored away for the Christmas break.
Students will be using Zearn math as a supplemental to Eureka math, Zearn is an online component, below I will post a link with students usernames and passwords.

Math quiz on Wednesday, students should be able to count objects and write the number and know the number I say and be able to write it (numbers 1-10). Early Dismissal on Friday October 4,  at 12 noon, after school program available if needed. Friday we will have our Mass of St.Francis of Assisi and the blessing of animals, if your child wishes to bring a pet that's a cat or dog they must be bought by an adult to the mass and taken home after mass. Welcome to Kindergarten,

As many of you did attend the parent meeting, you will know that a lot of our communication will be via the blog. It is imperative for parents or guardians to check the class blog on a daily basis to stay informed of any changes that occur during the week. Physical education (gym) will be held on MONDAYS students should where full gym uniform no exceptions. I will begin giving hw next week starting Monday, please make sure to always check your child's backpack each day. Please remember to sign in and sign out your child each morning for drop-off and at dismissal during pick up. Please make sure your child is on time everyday, as it is crucial for their academic advancement. Thank you all for entrusting me with your child's academics.

Please find in the list below the supplies your child will need for the kindergarten school year.

1 blue notebook from the school supply store, any other notebook will not be accepted
6 pocket folders from the school supply store (any color is fine)
1 draw and write journal notebook available at staples or lakeshore
2 packs of Triconderoga pencils (thin) if child has issues with grip please purchance pencil grips

A change of clothes (underwear, socks, pants, and shirt in case of accident/sick) please place these clothes in a large ziplock back and label it with your child's name.
Through out the school year I will inform you of any supplies that may need to be replenished, your donations of classroom supplies are always accepted and greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. If you have any questions concerning the supplies please feel free to ask. A friendly reminder to label all of your child's belongings and supplies.

This is the students last week of school. Wednesday students should bring shopping bags to pack up all their belongings to take home. Thursday is the students kindergarten graduation ceremony, students should be here by 9:00 am. Sight word test this Thursday, please study all sight words given up this point, a reminder that it is imperative for your child to be reading at the end of the school year to ensure a smooth transition into the next grade. Early Dismissal Monday January 14, at 12:00 noon, after school program available. Students should log into both pearsonrealize and freckle and complete all assignments due this week, students should be working independently on the assignments. As of January students will be assigned 4 sight words per week instead of 3, to make sure students learn at least 100 sight words by June. Map testing begins this week. Please sign and return progress reports.
