Lesson Plan 1/26-1/30

Religion
Monday
Aim: Students will be learning verses from the bible along with a picture of an angel to color.
Tuesday
Aim: continuing learning verses from the bible, followed by an activity page discover and color.
Wednesday
Aim: Bible verses cont’d, followed by an activity page read the verse and color the picture.
Thursday
Aim: Bible verses discuss their message and what we can understand from them
Friday
Aim: Review all the verses we’ve learned this week and discuss how they are similar or different in their message.

Math
Monday
Aim: Students will be introduced to the concept of subtraction, using manipulative we will begin to discover how to subtract
Tuesday
Aim: Preparing to subtract, activity page cross out the number of objects to be subtracted. Write the number of objects left on the line.
Wednesday
Aim: Continue preparing to subtract followed by an activity page in book
Thursday
Aim: Preparing to subtract cont’d
Activity page followed by an activity on chart
Friday
Aim: continue with practicing to subtract

Language Arts
Monday
Aim: Students will be using their comprehension skills in order to answer questions about prediction of events, plots, and the ending of stories. Activity in Mother Goose book
Tuesday
Aim: Comprehension cont’d
Time to listen activity in mother goose book, by responding to questions
Wednesday
Aim: Comprehension cont’d
Read aloud followed by questions and answers
Thursday
Aim: Continue with comprehension and students learning to use new words in their own speech
Friday
Aim: Comprehension and Vocabulary
List some new words and discuss how we can use them as part of our speech, read aloud and discuss what we heard in the book.

Science
Monday through Friday
Aim: Students will be introduced to the behaviors senses maintaining growth and health
Flip chart: revisit living things, as well as the teachers edition science book
Observations of living things
Characteristics of living things
Discuss how living things grow and what they need in order to maintain healthy

Social Studies
Monday
Aim: Students will be learning about the Farm, what it entails, who is part of the farm how it runs, farm animals.
Tuesday: Students will discuss the relationship between people and different kinds of animals.
Wednesday
Aim: Children will categorize which animals belong and the farm.
Friday
Aim: Children will discuss the function of animals in the farm.
