Lesson Plan 5/4 thru 5/8

Religion
Monday
Aim: Are you a friend of Jesus? What kinds of things do you tell or share with your friends?
Discuss your relationship with Jesus, how similar is it to those of your other friends?
Tuesday
Aim: David sang his prayers; learn to sing prayers to God.
What kinds of song or music do you hear when you visit church?
Wednesday
Aim: Praying as a family, prayer involves singing sometimes.
Read aloud “I can sing My Prayers”
Thursday
Aim: Learning about Mary the, mother of Jesus
Read aloud “We Love Mary”
Friday
Aim: Discover that Mary loves them as a mother loves her children
Recite the prayer “The Hail Mary”

Math
Monday
Aim: Begin counting by 5’s
Count by 5’s to 50.
Tuesday
Aim: Continue counting by 5’s
What comes next, fill in the missing number
Wednesday
Aim: Reinforce subtraction
Subtract up to 5
Thursday
Aim: Continue subtraction
Subtract up to 10
Friday
Aim: Review subtractions up to ten, and counting by 5’s up to 50.

Aim: Practice writing familiar letters

Social Studies

Learn and Dance to our spring show songs, learn the steps and moves in order.
Learn that music comes from many different parts of the world. Discuss where the music
we are learning to dance for the spring show where it comes from.
