Lesson Plans 5/25-5/29

Reminders
Tuesday May 26, 2015 Trip to One World Observatory, Students attending trip should remember to wear gym uniform and bring lunch. Friday is the May procession children should bring in a Rosary and should be in full school uniform. Students who attended the trip will be receiving a release form for parents/guardians to sign in case they decide to use your child's drawing at the Observatory.

Last Supper- the last meal Jesus had with the disciples;  it was there that Jesus first gave himself to his disciples in a special way 
Reading/ELA
well- a deep hole made in the ground through which water can be removed
swell- to become larger than normal
Mathematics
count on- to start counting at a number other than 1
number bond- a diagram with a total and two addends
teen numbers-counting numbers that represent ten and some number of ones from 1-9;the numbers 11-19
Science
speed- the rate at which someone or something moves or travels
motion- an act or process of movement 
pulley- a wheel or a set of wheels that is used with a rope or chain etc, to lift or lower heavy objects
Social Studies
countries-an area of land controlled by its own government
tradition- a way of thinking, behaving or doing something that has been used by the people in a particular group, family, society etc. for a long time
