Reminders

Please send a large shopping bag or garbage bag to pack up the students belongings for the Christmas break, all the students things will remain in school but we need a large bag to place all their things in to store away. Ugly Christmas sweater on Tuesday December 20th. Lessons and Carols will be held on Wednesday December 21st at 10:00 in the church, please join us if you can. Please make sure your child is wearing Christmas attire  or red, green or white for the lessons and carols on Wednesday. No after school or title 1 program on Wednesday Dec.21

School resumes on Tuesday January 3rd 2023. On behalf of myself and Ms.Perez we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year 2023, God bless you all. Please remember to review some skills over the Christmas break especially sight words. No new sight words as this is a very short week.

Reminders

Unit 2 test in ELA students should be able to recognize sight words, comprehension, beginning letter sound and medial sounds, test will be administered on Thursday December 15th. This week I will be taking donations for the Christmas party that will be held Wednesday December 21st. You can donate a bag of chips, or cookies, but I will like to coordinate so we don't have too many things or the same things, thank you in advance. Next week we will have ugly sweater day on Tuesday December 20th and on Wednesday December 21st the students will do a carol in the church that will begin promptly at 10:00am students should wear something for Christmas or the Christmas colors of red, green, or white.

Class picture day Monday October 24th, all students should be in full school uniform, boys with ties and girls with jumper, school sweater is optional but no other sweaters will be allowed for the class picture, students should be wearing black shoes. Tuesday October 25th students will take ELA exam, what this means is they should be able to recognize the letters of the alphabet and their corresponding sounds as we have focused on this since the beginning of school, be able to recognize the sight words by sight, and be able to comprehend questions from the books we have read thus far as part of the Ready Gen program. I am still collecting $5.00 for the Halloween party or any donations of food or drink for the party. Students may wear their costume on Monday October 31st.

Friday September 16th opening school mass, parents are welcomed to join us but must sit at the back of the church. A reminder that Gym classes will be held on Fridays and students should be in full gym uniform with sneakers. This week I will be sending an index card with students school emails in order for students to access google classroom and compete assignments when assigned. It is imperative for parents to send back their email on an index card to be invited into the google classroom, so that you stay up to date with what assignments should be done. Homework will be assigned through here every evening, please make sure to check this blog daily for homework  assignments. 1 blue primary grade notebook from the school supply store, any other notebook will not be accepted
6 pocket folders from the school supply store (any color is fine)
1 draw and write journal notebook available at staples or lakeshore
1 pack of Triconderoga pencils (thin) if child has issues with grip please purchase pencil grips
1 large eraser/ 1 pack of eraser tops
1 child friendly scissor
1 large pencil case to fit crayons, glue stick, pencils, scissor, erasers, etc.
2 packs of crayola crayons
1 small white board, 1 dry erase marker, 1eraser for the white board
1 pack of white index cards (100 at least) 
1 glue stick
2 ream of white printing paper
1 box of tissues
1 lysol or clorox dispensing wipes
1  pack of baby wipes(not mandatory)

1 can of Lysol disinfecting spray

1 pack of sandwich bags to ( these are to organize classroom manipulatives for each student)

Tuesday June 21 is a regular school day please send your child with a large shopping bag to send  home all there books and things. Wednesday June 22nd will be the kindergarten moving up ceremony, students should be arriving by 9:15am so that we can begin promptly at 10:00am. Friday April 1, parent teacher conferences will be held from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.You must sign up via the shared document on your child's google account, in person meetings from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 3:05 to 6:00pm via zoom. If you are unable or do not know how to use it please tell me to make an appointment you must email me immediately because spots do fill up quickly and I will not be able to accommodate as it is on a first come basis. (Last time a parent erased all the meeting times and therefore it made it very difficult to set up times again, so please if you do not know how to use the google drive, email me!!)
